About Me:
I’ve been a practicing counselor for 13 years. For 9 years, I worked as a school counselor in a high school setting before moving into private practice 4 years ago. I now provide individual counseling to adults experiencing grief, anxiety, major life transitions, and post-traumatic stress.
My education is in Psychology (Bachelor’s degree - Clemson University, 2010) and Counselor Education (Master of Education degree, Clemson University, 2012). I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#8370) in the state of South Carolina.
I take a relational approach to counseling, working alongside you to approach the challenges you are experiencing and meet your goals. You are the expert of your life; I am here to support you and provide meaningful and effective strategies to help you access relief, healing, clarity, and peace. I use an integrative approach to counseling using various modalities, most frequently leaning on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person Centered Therapy. I am also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for the treatment of post-traumatic stress.
